Jonah in Nineveh

We finished Jonah this morning. A lesson that can be taken from the book is that you can’t blindly dislike an entire group of people. This is a particularly important lesson for me as world events have all but made me bitter towards some groups who’s individual members are loved by God and therefore, who am I to hate all of them? Mike Witzig spoke about the theologian Sinclair Ferguson, a Scottish national who speaks so eloquently about Jonah and Bartt Stevens brought our attention to Afsheen Ziafat (https://www.tvcresources.net/resource-library/sermons/jonah-gods-heart-of-compassion), a Texas-born Muslim who converted to Christianity and also speaks eloquently about Jonah. We plan to begin our study of the Book of Daniel next week.
