Ephesians 6

25JUL2018: We continued to study Ephesians 6 focusing on the possible recognition over 2000 years ago of the Earth being round. We also discussed the meaning of "The Third Heaven." Some observations follow. These observation do not necessarily represent any conclusions drawn by the group but are offered for discussion:

• We talked about the Bible commenting on the Earth being round. All I can find is Isaiah 40:22 talking about God as being “above the circle of the Earth.” The Hebrew word translated in these passages as circle is “chuwg”, which means circle, curve, vault or sphere, or as a verb meaning to draw a circle. Note: As Roy will tell you, if you fly high enough you can see the horizon as an arc. 
• We also talked about the 3rd Heaven. It seems like the first heaven was the sky above the earth. God made the earth before he made the stars (universe) so it seemed to me that the second heaven was the universe and the 3rd heaven is paradise. That’s as far as I get. Please comment.
