We finished Jonah 2 today and talked about the temptation to think about being swallowed by a fish as an apocryphal story. This lead to a discussion on bible translations. There are, for example, sixteen verses in the King James version that don't appear in the newer translations (please click to see The Missing Verses). We further discussed the sacrifices mentioned in Jonah 2 and the need for continuing to make sacrifices. We were referred to Hebrews 10:10 "And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all."
