Daniel 9 Revisited

Discussion continued concerning Daniel Chapter 9 and prophecy in general. The observation was made by some that interpreting prophecy is not necessary for Christians as we can't know when the end will come and we can't miss it. See Mark 13:32 "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." and Matthew 24:27 "For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man."
