In Mark 4 Jesus calms the storm and his disciples are amazed. We discussed the reason for their amazement even though they had seen other miracles. We thought perhaps this miracle, which defied the laws of physics, was so graphic and different it had special impact. It could be argued that Moses did a similar miracle when the sea was parted but Moses called on God to part the sea whereas Jesus calmed the storm himself.
