Mark 15: 15-32 Jesus on the Cross

Though only John was present at the crucifixion, Mark, as well as Matthew and Luke, wrote about it. I particularly like Luke’s version as it reports that one of the criminals next to Jesus chastised the other criminal for abusing Jesus and Jesus tells the supportive criminal, “Today you will be in paradise.” This tells me that when you die, you go right to heaven; no waiting. Mike Witzig pointed out the ironies of verses like 31 wherein the Priests mocked Jesus by saying, “He saved others, but he can’t save himself.”  When in fact, he died so he could save others. Regardless of which version you read, it confirms the prophecy of Psalms 22:16-18.
