We discussed God’s Rest. This goes beyond resting on Sunday and speaks to the lack of stress that comes with obedience to God. The Jews were stressed for 40 years in the wilderness because of their disobedience; only Joshua made it to the promised land and God’s rest. Now we have Christ and through Christ we can have God’s rest as it says in Philippians 4:6-7 (6) Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (7) And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
