The Trinity

We continued to discuss the Trinity; do we pray to three deities or are they all part of one. We have been basing our discussions on Chapter 1 of the book of John. This is what John said about Christ in Chapter 1 (forgive me if I, not John, missed something):

Christ was always with God
Christ is God
Christ was Born of God
Christ became flesh
Christ is the one and only son of the Father
Christ is the only one to have seen God
Christ is in closest relationship with the Father because he is the Son
Christ will baptize with the Holy Sprit
Christ is God's chosen one
You will see Angels ascending and descending on Christ

Remember this message was for a relatively unsophisticated audience; how would you say Christ, a human, was an integral part of a spirit God other than calling him the Son? It is easy to get confused on who to pray to as we consider the Father, Son, Holy Ghost, legions of Angels (especially the two heavies, Michael and Gabri), and some churches have created hundreds of Saints you may feel free to pray to.

I don't speak for the entire CBMC team but to me there is only one God and others that are mentioned are aspects of that one God explained so we can understand what he is doing. There is so much more in the Book of John; we will move on in the book and revisit this issue from time to time.
