The French mathematician, Blaise Pascal, described a person's belief in God as a life-defining gamble with the odds in favor of believers. When you share the word and it is not accepted, we are advised by Jesus not to argue but to just "...leave shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them (Mark 6:11)." While we aren't advised to try to convince someone to listen, I find that telling them, "If I'am wrong, no problem; if you're wrong you'll have a very big problem" at least gives them something to think about.
Our members observed that times seem to be changing in that believers are becoming more public about their convictions and those that don't believe seem to feel the need to openly attack those that do.
