As we read about Jesus curing the two blind men by the side of the road we wondered why he had to touch them to heal them given that had cured others from a distance. We thought about what we had learned from Matthew 9:22; when the woman who had been bleeding for ten years touched his cloak she was cured and Jesus said: "... your faith has healed you." Jesus touched the blind men to improve their belief, their faith, that something would happen. The message is: Believe and it will be so.
