We continued to study Matthew 26 and confirmed that Jesus' suffering on the cross was real; in Matthew 26:39 we see that he knows what is coming and for all his Devine power, he is actually afraid and later, when we read in Matthew 27:46 that he prays: "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" We know that he truly feared and suffered and paid for our sins.
