Brig Sorber, co-founder of Two Men And A Truck, along with his younger brother Jon started their business, in the early 1980's. At the encouragement of their mother Mary Ellen Sheets, they purchased a 1966 pickup truck and began their endeavor by taking out ads in local newspapers. When the brothers left for college, Mary Ellen purchased a 14-foot straight truck and hired two movers. In 1988 an acquaintance of Mary Ellen's suggested that she begin franchising her Two Men And A Truck concept. Upon Brig's return from college, the first franchise was granted in 1989. Today Brig Sorber is Chairman of the Board of Two Men And A Truck and there are 293 franchises with 340 locations including 2800 trucks. Of these 293 franchises, 31 are located in Canada, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. Brig has been invited to share the company's success story at Wake Forest University's Babcock School of Management, University of Texas at El Paso, Northern Michigan University, and the University of Michigan.
In 2010 Brig was named Alumnus of the Year at Northern Michigan University. This year is the 34th annual Morton Community Prayer Breakfast, and we are very pleased to have Brig Sorber come and share his life experiences with us on April 30, 2019. Contact Larry Miller.
