We studied Romans 11 today wherein Paul told the Jews that they won’t be saved just because they are members of the chosen people. Here they are, God’s chosen people, and they reject his son. The good news is that it opened the door for we Gentiles. In an unrelated matter, we discussed the purpose of CBMC. I have assumed that it was to improve our ability to witness but I read 1 Corinthians 1:17 and realized that to try to spread the word of God by being clever if not well trained, diminishes Jesus’ sacrifice. Perhaps the purpose of the CBMC is to encourage us to witness - the words will come to us.
