2 PETER 1: 15-21 PROPHECY & TRANSFIGURATION

Today we studied the transfiguration (2 Peter 1: 15-21) and Peter’s efforts to make sure early followers of Christ didn’t forget it. We can’t just hear the gospel once and assume we are set for life; we have to remember it and keep it in our hearts (Matthew 13: 6-7). We also discussed what happens to you when you go to heaven. You will no longer have pains or worry or concern so some think you won’t remember any sadness that occurred during your life on Earth. I prefer to think that your perspective will become so large that you will remember what you once considered the bad times but you will understand how it all worked for the glory of God.
