We studied Hebrews 12 today wherein (12:5-6) it speaks to the Lord’s discipline and the fact that he disciplines the one he loves and chastens everyone he accepts as his son. It brings to mind Luke 12:47 which speaks to the servant who knows the master’s will and does not do it. As Christians we have to strive to do what’s right; all our desires won’t just fall into our laps. Yet the gifts are many - John 14:13 if we ask for anything in the name of Jesus, we will receive it but only if, as pointed out in 1 john 5:14, it pleases God (New international Version) or if it is consistent with his plan and purpose (Amplified Bible Version).
