We continued with Hebrews. Today’s lesson to converted Jews was, it is one thing to violate the Law of Moses but rejecting the Son of God will be judged by God and, as it says in Hebrews 10:31 “It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
We also talked about rewards in heaven. Matthew 5:12, Luke 6:23, and 1 Corinthians 3:14 and 9:28 and other verses speak to it but, as Bartt Stevens and Mike Witzig said, these are not rewards like jewels or prestige, they are like the reward you get when you give your child a toy at Christmas; the reward you get in heaven is the joy you will feel because you advanced Gods work on earth.
