We read in Matthew 25 that at the end of times those that helped others will go to heaven and those that didn't won't go to heaven. We also discussed local beggars and how some of us (including me) feel that, given their ability to get help from local missions, they don't need help from me. This made me realize that though I give to those missions, I give so little compared to my total assets, I am essentially a failure. So many need so much and I just check on my investments and pick a nice place for lunch. I need to give more but my heart isn't in it and I can't believe I know what to do (Matthew 19:16-22) and don't do it.
