JESUS HEALS A BLIND MAN and ENTERS JERUSALEM HAILED AS KING

Mark 10:46-52

Jesus heals a blind man and what is especially interesting about this is that there is no ritual or procedure, no mud in the eyes, just “your faith has healed you.” Further he doesn’t ask the blind man to keep it to himself as he had in the past. He is now doing his miracles in the open and in front of crowds.

Mike Witzig pointed out that in the previous chapter, James and John were asking to sit at the right and left hand of Jesus when he is in heaven, a very bold request, so when Jesus sees the blind man he say, “what do YOU WANT….” You have to wonder if James and John and their mother were shamed a little bit.

Mark 11:1-11

The people think he is coming to be king but he purposely enters Jerusalem on the  colt of a donkey, not on a horse or in a chariot like a conquer, on a colt of a donkey to demonstrate his humbleness. The crowds still don't understand that he is the son of God and is not going to raise an army to defeat the Romans.
