You can only get to heaven through Christ; you can’t get in by membership in a religious organization or by any procedure or action determined by a Church or modern prophet. The Pharisees of old believed their knowledge of the law would save them and that they were “gatekeepers” (John 10:1).
Nothing really changes; Sheep are still the perfect analogy for the behavior of humans; they recognize their shepherd - FOX, CNN, NBC, the DNC, the RNC or, for those that are saved, Christ.
